The picturesque views of the Tumipi Peak can be considered as the little New Zealand in Philippines.

Some of us have devoted our time to work just to earn a living. We sometimes came to a point that we no longer give time for ourselves to unwind from the stressful work environment we have.

“For me, the best escape from the stress of work is to have a trip. Going to somewhere you don't usually go, can be a stress relieving.”

On December 1, 2018, it's a holiday. I decided to take my motor bike to a trip. In my mind, I was just thinking of something to do differently from what I usually do everyday. So, as early as 6:00 AM on the same day, I packed my things needed for my first adventure (I named it as my first mission as the Lone Rider).

Things I brought for the mission are the following:

  1. Action Camera;

  2. Cellphone;

  3. Water, and

  4. My little drone.

At first, I was hesitant to go because that was something I have never done before. I always travel with my friends and colleagues. And, travelling alone is a creepy thing to do for me.

Earning My Courage

Though I still have fear at the back of my mind, I motivate myself to go. So, I picked up my helmet and mount the action camera on it. After a while, I found myself in front of my bike. Then, I decided to ride with no more second thoughts. Thanks to the government for their widening projects, I was having a smooth travel. It took me one-and-a-half hours to reach my destination, "The Tumipi Peak".

On The Spot

When I arrived on the spot, I were only few travelers by that time. Most of them were swimming at the famous Tumipi cold spring. Since swimming was not my goal there, I climbed to the upper most part of the place which they called, " The View Deck" or The Tumipi Peak". In there, I was able to experience a sense of accomplishment. Indeed, it was very fulfilling for me reach the spot on my own.

Just fell free to watch the video below.
